Richmond Homeschool Academy
Richmond Homeschool Academy is a Christian hybrid-homeschool family resource for middle school and high school students in Richmond, Kentucky and its surrounding counties.
We are passionate about homeschool, and we want as many homeschool families as possible to have the confidence and resources they need to continue homeschooling throughout middle school and high school.

University Model
In Richmond Homeschool Academy's university model students come to class 1-2 days per week to receive in person instruction, complete science labs, etc., but they spend the remaining days of the week working on assignments and studying from home.
While students may benefit from taking multiple courses, they can choose to take every course we offer or choose only what they need in order to supplement the work they are already doing at home.

Hybrid-Homeschool
Richmond Homeschool Academy offers the benefits of a classroom setting while still maintaining the flexibility of homeschool.
Like a traditional school, students receive in person instruction from a paid instructor. They are assigned homework and given grades based on their mastery of the subject.
Unlike a traditional school, however, our program is unaccredited, and the homeschool listed on the student's letter of intent is solely responsible for the success and education of their students. We do not store grades beyond the current academic year, and parents are responsible for building transcripts.

Operation
We are not a co-op. Unlike a co-op, parents do not teach courses or stay in the building during instructional time. They may drop off and pick up students according to their class schedule.
Parents do play a fundamental role in keeping their students on task and organized at home and providing first line help when needed.
Parents may be asked to volunteer throughout the year for the sign in/sign out table, fundraisers, etc., but none of these will require major time commitments.
